Female Teachers, Students Stage Rally To Express Solidarity With Women Of IOK

A large number of female teachers, students and working women staged a protest rally here Friday to express solidarity with oppressed women of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) who had under a complete siege and lockdown for the last 47 days
The rally, led by Minister Social Welfare and Women Development Naureen Arif, marched from Civil Secretariat to Chatter Chowk. The participants of the rally were holding banners and placards inscribing with anti-India slogans. They demanded international community to take notice of plights of women in IOK.
The rally was participated by large number of universities and colleges teachers, working women and students of educational institutions and eminent women including Professor Dr. Rehana Kausar, Rahat Farooq Raja Advocate, Dr. Qudsia Batool, Dr. Bushra Shams, Uzma Sheerin Advocate and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Naureen Arif Raja said that the brave women of Kashmir have been fighting against the India oppression for the last 47 days and despite the Indian atrocities and sacrifices of sons and husbands by them during the last 70 years, their courage was still stronger.
