ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2019 ) :Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday sought reply from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) on a petition filed by a student of the Federal capital seeking admission in medical college of Punjab, till September 27.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the petition, filed by a student Naeema Saleem challenging the ban on Islamabad's students to take admission in Punjab medical colleges.

The petitioner's counsel pleaded before the bench that as per the PM&DC advertisement, the students hailing from the federal capital were eligible for admissions in the colleges.

But later on, he said, the federal students were imposed ban without any logical reason.

That's why; he said his client was not being given admission despite she had qualified the entry test.

The bench said how a student's admission could be stopped even after passing the exam.

Justice Hassan observed that the ban would cause educational loss to the petitioner.
