KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th September, 2019) The Contact Group on Donbas should agree in writing on the text of the "Steinmeier formula", after which it will be submitted to the Normandy Four for discussion, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said Friday.
"This is not the task of the Normandy Four or the Foreign Ministry - it is a task assigned to the Trilateral Contact Group. When they reformulate more precisely, we will then receive, see what happened to our proposal and whether we can offer this to the leaders for them to meet," Prystaiko said in an interview with the Yevropeyskaya Pravda newspaper.
The minister noted that the signing of the text of the "Steinmeier formula" was one of the conditions before the Normandy summit.
"Yes, this is one of two conditions for a meeting of leaders that we agreed on. The second condition is that we expect troops to be disengaged at three control sites. Then, the Russians added a third condition, which sounds like 'working out clear wordings for the leaders' declaration'," he said.
