MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th September, 2019) Belarus' decision to pursue visa liberalization with the European Union is the country's internal affair, it will not be in the way of its relations with Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.
Earlier in the day, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said that Minsk had decided to sign an agreement on visa liberalization with the European Union.
"First of all, it is Belarus' internal affair. This should not stand in the way of further development of integration because the existing [visa] regimes are, of course, taken into consideration when these talks are held and are agreed by the partners," Peskov told reporters, when asked if this decision could prevent Russia-Belarus integration plans.
