Putin Arrives In Russia's Orenburg To Attend Active Phase Of Tsentr-2019 Drills

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th September, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the city of Orenburg to attend an active phase of the Tsentr-2019 military exercise that is being held in the Orenburg Region.

On Thursday, Putin left the city of Izhevsk, where he held a session of the Military-Industrial Commission, for Orenburg where he will spend a night, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

The Tsentr-2019 strategic drills are being held from Monday to Saturday at four ranges and in the Caspian Sea. According to the Russian Central Military District, over 128,000 servicemen, more than 20,000 military vehicles and equipment units, some 600 aircraft and up to 15 vessels are taking part in the maneuver.

Servicemen from China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are taking part in the drills along with Russian colleagues.
