ISLAMABAD,(Pakistan Point News / Online - 19th September, 2019) Poly Clinic management alleged for committing Rs20 million corruptions over the name of development and maintenance work of the hospital, sources said on Thursday.Taking notice of the corruption allegations, the ministry of Health has sought explanation from the Poly Clinic management. Following the situation, the hospital management started distorting documents to hide its corruption.
There are chances that the corruption matter will be handed over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). It is said that the hospital management put Rs20 million in their own pockets instead of purchasing equipment and other material for the hospital.The funds were released at the name of maintenance work in the hospital. The sources said the higher authority after not getting their share in the looted money has ordered inquiry. The management released funds from the account which was particularly used for the purchase of medicines.
According to the ministry rule and regulations, the hospital management has no authority to initiate maintenance work, adding that it was responsibility of the Pak PW.The hospital doctors requesting not to be named said a company allegedly supported the management in corrupt practices belongs to Islamabad and quite close to the management. It is to be mentioned here that a corrupt group in the hospital management extract million of rupees from the national exchequer on the pretext of white wash in the hospital.More worsening is that no corrupt officials could be held accountable so far. When this correspondent contacted Poly Clinic Hospital spokesperson he refused to comment on the matter.
