World Bank Mission visits land record center

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd july,2016) : At accomplishment of computerization of land records in Punjab, World Bank Mission examined the progress of the project by visiting Hafizabad land record office on Friday.

Deputy Director Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS) Maqbool Ahmed Dhawla briefed the Mission about the progress of the project. He informed the Mission that record of more than 23,000 rural 'Mouzas' of Punjab has been computerized; dedication and hard work of the staff and support of district administrations and other stakeholders paved the way for its completion.

He said land record centers have been established in all 143 tehsils of Punjab and computerized service delivery regarding 'Fard' issuance are being provided to the public in just 30 to 50 minutes.

"More than 160,000 'Fards' have been issued and more than 50,000 'Mutations' are digitally attested per month. World Bank Mission including Ms. Mary Lisbeth, Igor Pop, Linus Pott and Deputy Project Director Maqbool Ahmad Dhawla along with other members visited the Land Record Center Hafizabad.

DCO Hafizabad Muhammad Ahmed Rajwana briefed the Mission about the services being provided at Land Record Center and said that the district government is continuously monitoring the delivery of services at Land Record Center and in case of any complaint of misbehave or any other discrepancy, strict disciplinary action is being taken. Mission showed their satisfaction upon public feedback, transparent services delivery, and progress of the record center staff.
