SC Disposes Of Case Against Closure Of Stone Crushing Plants In Kuchlak

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : The Supreme Court on Thursday disposed of a case regarding closure of stone crushing plants in Kuchlak (Balochistan) and directed the petitioner to contact Provincial Secretary Minerals. The division bench of the apex court headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan heard the case regarding closure and shifting of stone crushing plants from residential areas to other areas.
During the course of proceedings, the counsel for the petitioner appeared before court and alleged that the BHC announced verdict without hearing arguments of his client. While the Advocate General Balochistan told the court that the provincial environmental department had withdrawn all NOCs regarding stone crushing while the provincial department of minerals had cancelled all NOCs issued in this regard.
On which the court disposed of the case and asked the petitioner to contact Secretary Minerals for the issuance of license.
