SC Adjourns Tax Matters Case For An Indefinite Period

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the Federal board of Revenue (FBR) to submit concise reply over a case regarding pendency of tax matters cases since long and adjourned hearing of a case for an indefinite period.
The division bench of the apex court comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Gulzar Ahmad heard the case.
During the course of proceedings, the counsel for FBR told the court that as many as 135 cases were delayed due to field formation. However, the FBR has prepared a model to introduce a centralized system for maintaining of cases record. The court expressed satisfaction over FBR report and adjourned hearing of the case for an indefinite period.
