No CNIC: AJK SC Judge Denied Right To Vote

MIRPUR (AJK) , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 21th july, 2016): A serving judge of AJK Supreme Court, Justice Raja Saeed Akram was denied the right to cast vote for not showing original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) in his ancestral Bhimbher district on Thursday.
Presiding officer asked the judge to produce the original CNIC for using his right to vote in the election, which he was not holding at the time of the voting.
Therefore the judge was not allowed to cast his vote. Responding to the judge of the apex court Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan highly appreciated the polling staff acknowledging the holding of the elections in AJK in a free, fair and transparent manner.
