Secretary Defence visits Maritime Security Agency headquarters

KARACHI, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 24th Nov, 2016 ) : Secretary, Defence Lt. Gen. (R) Zamir ul Hassan Shah HI (M) visited the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) Headquarters and lauded the efforts of PMSA for securing maritime boundary of the country. On the occasion, Director General, PMSA, Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar briefed the Secretary Defence regarding Gwadar Port and other matters, said a statement on Thursday. Secretary Defence Zamir ul Hassan Shah lauded the efforts of PMSA for securing maritime boundary and said due to Pak-China Economic Corridor the responsibilities have increased.

Director General PMSA, Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar and Lt. Commander (R) Zamir ul Hassan Shah during the meeting also exchanged views on Pak China Economic Corridor. DG PMSA, informed that Maritime Security Agency and Pakistan Navy have conducted several joint raids in collaboration of other departments and eradicated several anti state elements. Maritime Security Agency is also making efforts for elimination of marine pollution and due to Bara Koda exercises the environment has improved. The DG PMSA on the occasion presented the Memento to Secretary Defence Zamir ul Hassan Shah.
