KE Consumers Gets Hundreds Of Asked To Send Bills According To Meter Reading

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : The Advisor to Regional Office of Federal Ombudsman, Muhammad Yameen, has asked the K. Electric to send the bills to the consumers according to meter reading, so that they can avoid to pay excess amount on approximation. He said this while hearing applications against K.
Electric at Deputy Commissioner Malir's Camp Office, says a statement on Thursday. He further stated that on directions of Federal Ombudsman Salman Farooqi, it is our duty to provide justice to the poor at their doorsteps.
He said that Ombudsman Court is providing quick and free justice to the people and receiving hundreds of applications against excessive billing of K.Electric. Applicant from Dunba Goth Ghulam Rasool informed about `Kunda' system in Dunba Goth and said that meters are not being used.
Ombudsman court asked him whether people of Dunba Goth are living without electricity, he told that they were not happy with the behavior of K.Electric and that is why they have started to use solar system. Applicant Faheem told Ombudsman Court that generally normal bills are sent but among them suddenly there are excess bills that are sent due to which he was very upset whether to pay the bill or fees of his children.
Ombudsman court ordered to pay remaining amount of the bill in installments. Applicant Manzoor Ali told the court that there is no power yet K.Electric is still sending bills of huge amounts regularly. He requested the court for providing justice. Action was also taken for on the applications' complaints against excess bills by K.Electric.
