LAHORE, (Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : Provincial Minister for Labour & Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has urged officers and staff of Punjab Employees Social Security Institute (PESSI) to utilize their best professional abilities for provision of social security benefits to workers and their families. He said this while presiding over 130th meeting of governing body of PESSI on Thursday. The governing body approved the proposed budget amounting to Rs 12,726,186,700 for the fiscal year 2016-17.
Total allocation for administrative expenditures was fixed to Rs 1,261,145,829. The governing body also gave their consent for the revised budget of PESSI for the fiscal year 2015-16. Commissioner Social Security Mansoor Qadir informed the meeting that the Institute has regularized the services of all the grade 1 to 15 employees. The GB also approved to increase the daily food expenditures of under treatment secured industrial workers from Rs 100 to Rs.150 as well as increasing the maximum limit of the wages of industrial workers for contribution collection from Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000.
