MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th June, 2019) Finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of 20, a club of the most developed economies, will gather in the southern Japanese city of Fukuoka on Saturday.
The two-day weekend meeting at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk hotel is one of the eight ministerial gatherings held throughout Japan alongside the G20 Summit in Osaka in late June. The meeting will be attended by European Central Bank's outgoing President Mario Draghi, World Bank's new chief David Malpass, and International Monetary Fund head Christine Lagarde.
Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso is expected to deliver the opening remarks. He said the event would focus on averting another global financial crisis and raising awareness of the need for openness, in a jab at the United States.
