BMW Recalls 315 Luxury X7 Cars From Russia Over Airbag Safety Concerns

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th June, 2019) German automotive giant BMW has recalled hundreds of luxury X7 cars in Russia over airbag safety concerns, Russian tech regulator Rosstandart said in a press release on Friday.

"The recall concerned 315 BMW X7 (G07) cars sold between April and May 2019," the press release read.

Some of the cars, the watchdog said, were suspected to have front-seat airbags installed incorrectly, which could led to them deploying only partially in case of an accident.

The company said in April it had recalled 31 X7s, touted as the largest and most luxurious BMW ever made, after discovering a problem with loose seat belts in its optional second row of captain's chairs.
