Two 'dacoits' Killed In Police Encounter

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : Two alleged dacoits were killed during a reported police encounter near Naag Shah Chowk in Qutubpur police station area, while two others managed to flee the scene. According to police sources, four dacoits allegedly snatched a motorcycle from one Saeed near Bilal Chowk and fled towards Naag Shah Chowk.
Police, after getting information, cordoned off the area, and traced the dacoits. The accused reportedly opened fire on the police party. In retaliatory fire, a dacoit died on the spot and another sustained injuries.
However, two others managed to escape from there. The injured dacoit also succumbed to his injuries on the way to Nishtar Hospital Multan.
Police shifted the bodies to Nishtar Hospital mortuary. SHO Qutubpur Rana Sabir told APP that the dacoits killed in the encounter were identified as Naseem Baloch, a resident of Jalalpur, and Haq Nawaz, a resident of Rahim Yar Khan.
Police have recovered two motorcycles, two pistols and mobile-phones. He said the police were conducting raids for arrest of fleeing dacoits. He said that the dacoits had killed a broker and injured his brother a few days back after snatching cash from them. They were involved in dozens of other robberies also.
