Russia's Roscongress, Qatari Commerce Chamber Sign Cooperation Deal At SPIEF

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th June, 2019) Russia's Roscongress nonprofit economic development foundation and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a cooperation deal on Thursday.

The agreement was inked at the SPIEF international economic forum in St.Petersburg by Roscongress Director Alexander Stuglev and the Qatari chamber's board member, Ali Abdul Latif al Misnad.

"The signing of this deal will allow us to build a long-standing partnership with the Qataris and bolster delegation exchanges at key business events in both countries," Stuglev was quoted as saying in Roscongress's press release.

The Qatari official said the pact would advance bilateral dialogue on investment, finances, trade, tourism and culture and thanked Roscongress, which helped organize SPIEF, for inviting Qatar to the next forum as a guest country.

The agreement will lay down the framework for future Russian-Qatari and multinational exhibitions, conferences, roundtables and fairs on energy, economy and social policies. It builds on a long history of cooperation between the two countries, which last year marked 30 years of diplomatic ties.
