Ministry of religious affairs has announced name of 7309 successful intending pilgrims in second Hajj balloting for an additional quota under government scheme

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / Online - 03rd June, 2019) Ministry of religious affairs has announced name of 7309 successful intending pilgrims in second Hajj balloting for an additional quota under government scheme.As many as 2023 applicants who remained unsuccessful during the last three years were also declared successful. The result of balloting has been informed through SMS.Those who have succeeded in second balloting have been directed to pay their amount and file passports and other documents before June 14.

Minister for Religious affairs Noor ul Haq Qadri said while addressing a press conference on the eve of balloting that this balloting is being conducted on the desire of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. Allocation of additional quota was decided for Pakistan after meeting between PM Imran Khan and Saudi Crown Prince. Besides allocating 16000 additional quota road to Makkah project has also been approved.We wanted to give gift to people on the eve of Eid that additional hajj quota of 15790 has been allocated to Pakistan. Now Pakistan total quota has reached 2 lac. As many as 117000 intending pilgrims will perform Hajj under government scheme and 83000 under private scheme. 111457 persons had failed in first balloting who have also been included in this balloting.He said Federal cabinet had approved balloting in respect of additional Hajj quota.
