DCO Orders Solid Measures Against Dengue

SARGODHA,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : District Coordination Officer (DCO) Danish Afzaal has said that chances of dengue growth increase during the rainy season and stressed adopting preventive measures to counter the dengue virus. Presiding over a meeting regarding prevention of dengue, the DCO said that there is dire need to create awareness among people about dengue virus. The meeting was told that no death from dengue was recorded so far in the district.
The DCO asked the larva detection teams to be vigilant and keep the record of their findings.
He asked them to visit educational institutions and residential areas regularly. The meeting was told that presently 39 fogger, 174 spray pumps, 25 dewatering sets and 103 safety kits were available which were being utilised by 501 indoor and outdoor teams in 167 union councils. The meetings was attended by MPA Dr Nadia Aziz, ADC Muhammad Zulqarnain, EDO health Dr Nusrat Riaz, MS DHQ Dr Pervez Haider and other officials of the departments concerned.
