Taking to Twitter, Adnan Sami extended felicitations to Modi on his ‘smashing win’.
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 23rd May, 2019) Singer Adnan Sami, who was heavily trolled on social media for supporting the Indian claimed surgical strike 2, has congratulated Narendra Modi upon winning the Indian elections.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's governing party has taken a decisive lead as votes are being counted in the country's huge general election.
Over 600 million people voted in a marathon six-week long process. Modi was up against the main opposition Congress party and powerful regional rivals across the country.
However, the alliance led by his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ahead in well over 300 seats and Modi is on course to extend his majority.
Taking to Twitter, Adnan Sami extended felicitations to Modi on this ‘smashing win’.
“I’m on a holiday in Germany but have been glued to the tv & internet since early morning with a huge smile on my face!!😃😄 Jai Hind!🇮🇳” he wrote.
Adnan Sami, who originally hails from Pakistan but now holds Indian citizenship, has time and again vowed allegiance to India.
But Pakistanis keep trolling him, referring to him as Pakistan's secret agent and have given him the name ‘Major Adnan Sami’.
