PBF Tigers, Choice Club Register Win In Choice International Twenty20 Cricket

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2016 ) : PBF Tigers and Choice Club registered victories against their respective rivals in the ongoing Choice International Twenty20 cricket Tournament being played simultaneously at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium and Gymkhana Cricket ground respectively on Friday.
In the match played at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium PBF Tighers defeated Frontier Foundation Club by seven wickets. Frontier Foundation Club won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up 117 runs for the loss of seven wickets after playing 20 overs.
Abid Raza scored 20 runs, Noor Zaman made 19 runs and Jamshed scored 17 runs, none of the other batsmen could cross the double figures. For PBF Tighers Alamgir, the right-arm medium fast bowler, claimed three wickets, Samad got two wickets and Zia Ur Rehman and Ahmad Nawaz got one wicket each.
In reply, PBF Tigers chased the required runs target for the loss of three wickets with Qadir hammered a cracking 43 runs including four boundaries and one six, Yousaf smashed a superb and vital half-century 53 runs off 21 balls with nine boundaries.
For Frontier Foundation club Shehzad got two wickets. Thus PBF Tigers won the match by seven wickets. In the second match played at Gymkhana ground, Choice club won the toss and decided to bat first by setting up 151 runs target in which Rifat Ullah, an international cricketer, scored a cracking half-century 54 runs including six boundaries and two sixes, Azam Khan made 51 runs off 33 balls with four boundaries and one six, Shahzeb (15) and Sajjad (12) were the other prominent scorer.
For P-I and P-II club Kamran Zia and Safdar took two wickets each. In reply, P-I and P-II club bundled out for 113 runs with Wajid scored 28 runs, Irfan Khan (21) and Faisal scored 15 runs none of the other batsmen could stand in front of calculating bowling by Choice Club bowlers.
For Choice club Rifat Ullah took four wickets, Azam and Shahzeb got two wickets each. Thus Choice Club won the match by 38 runs.
