LAHORE, (Pakistan Point News – 18th Nov, 2016) : According to ISPR, General Raheel Sharif, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited Government College University (GCU) Lahore, today. He visited his alma mater and interacted with the students and faculty members. To revive his old memories, he visited several sections of the premier institute particularly those where he spent his student days. While paying tribute to the faculty and management of the varsity for their grooming and honing our youth, COAS said that GCU has always played a key role in producing a stream of scholars, scientists, artists and intellectuals of international acclaim, who have greatly contributed in their respective domains.
COAS while expressing his optimism of a brighter future of the country said that Pakistan is a great nation and our human resource is our real asset. Operation Zarb-e-Azb has laid a strong foundation for peace and progress of the country and you can play an important role towards the development of Pakistan, he said.
