Mahira Khan stands up for Hania Aamir after Yasir Hussain ridicules her

Mahira said she is proud of Hania for showing courage and grace.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 14th May, 2019) Actress Mahira Khan has extended her support to fellow actress Hania Aamir after she revealed her insecurity of having an acne and comedian Yasir Hussain mocked her.

Commenting to Hania’s response to Yasir Hussain for being insensitive towards her insecurity, Mahira said she is proud of Hania for showing courage and grace.

“I’m not laughing either. Nobody is! @realhaniahehe thank you and proud of you for showing courage as well as grace 🙏🏼” she wrote.

Yesterday, actress Hania Aamir had taken to social media to share her struggle with acne and how she had suffered from anxiety because of it.

Hania had posted her raw selfies snowing her struggles with acne along with a heartfelt note, describing how she has decided to come out of the pressure of always looking perfect as her skin does not define her.

This post had gone viral on social media and people had lauded Hania for her courage.

However, Yasir Hussain could not cease to crack a joke over her acne too. Somebody had asked him on Instagram to describe Hania Aamir in one word when he called her ‘Danedaar’ (full of acne).

When Hania saw this, she also came up with a perfect reply, saying, “Pardon my friend, he has got used to cracking bad jokes these days.”

Taking to another Insta story, Hania schooled Yasir, saying, “We brush off insecurities and people pointing them out like it's no big deal but knowing it's someone's insecurity and still making fun of it is the worst thing you can do! It is WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!”

She further said it's high time people realise it is not okay to make jokes out of other people's insecurities. “It's disgusting. And not funny at all. Humour is great but be careful with it. Don't try and act cool about making someone feel bad about what they might consider a flaw. It's disrespect. Not funny. Degrading is not funny. I'm not laughing. Nobody is,” Hania said.
