Argentinian Police Receive Phone Bomb Threats Against Presidential Palace - Reports

BUENOS AIRES (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th May, 2019) Argentinian police received a phone call bomb threat against the presidential palace Casa Rosada and the Chamber of Deputies building in Buenos Aires, local media reported on Monday.

According to TN tv Channel, a special group for bomb disposal was dispatched to the buildings. One of the Argentinian lawmakers Carlos Gaston Roma told Sputnik that the Chamber of Deputies building had been evacuated.

The person who called the police threatened to blow up a bomb in a car, according to other media reports.

The incident came right after a man was arrested earlier in the day while trying to enter the presidential palace with a Magnum gun asking to see Argentinian President Mauricio Macri.

It is not the first time Buenos Aires faces bomb threats. Similar cases took place ahead of a G20 meeting last year.
