SHABWA, (Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2019) The UAE, through its humanitarian arm, the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, distributed its second phase of Ramadan Ration to poor families in Jardan District, Shabwa Governorate.
The aid is part of the UAE’s comprehensive humanitarian efforts, during the Year of Tolerance, to assist Yemenis, ease their suffering and improve their living conditions.
The ERC team in Shabwa distributed 800 food baskets weighing around 67 tonnes to 5,040 beneficiaries in the District, in light of the worsening humanitarian conditions in Shabwa.
The number of food baskets distributed since the start of the Year of Tolerance 2019 reached 93,759, weighing around 1,644.934 tonnes, which benefitted 129,935 individuals from poor families in Shabwa.
