CAIRO, (Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2019) The Arab League and Egypt's Al Azhar have condemned the suicide bombing that rocked east Baghdad, leaving an unspecified number of deaths and injuries, Thursday.
Arab League Spokesman, Mahmoud Afifi, affirmed the League's solidarity with Iraq against all the acts that jeopardise public order, security and stability in the country.
He underlined the importance of intensifying international efforts to uproot Daesh in its remaining enclaves and pockets in the country.
Egypt's Al Azhar has issued a similar statement, strongly condemning the explosion.
The blast hit Jamila market in the Sadr City district of the Iraqi capital on Thursday evening after Iftar, the sunset meal during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
