Commissioner Directs To Maintain High Standard Medical Facilities In

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2016 ) : Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar directed health officials of government hospitals to utilize all available resources to maintain high standard of cleanliness and tidiness along with provision of free medicines to the patients.

He gave these directions while presiding over a meeting of Medical Superintendents in a video link conference here at commissioner office on Wednesday. He also directed to ensure their presence at duty to extend decent health cover to the patients at government run hospitals in Bahawalpur Division.

The meeting was attended by DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahar, DCO Rahim Yar Khan Captain (R) Zafar Iqbal, DCO Bahawalnagar Azhar Hayat, Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Waseem Hassan, Executive District Officers of the three districts of Bahawalpur division, officers of health department and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.

" The meeting was briefed that as many as 322 beds have been reserved to treat the dengue patients in the various hospitals of the 3 districts of the Bahawalpur Division which include 152 beds at district Bahawalpur, 64 beds at district Bahawalnagar and 106 beds at district Rahim Yar Khan.

The meeting was also told that 350 old hospital beds have been replaced with new beds along with the provision of 100 new bed sheets at District Head Quarter Hospital Bahawalnagar. Similarly, 700 new bed sheets at Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Chishtian and 300 at Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Bahawalnagar have also been provided.
