Taj Wali four-for on day two takes State Bank of Pakistan to the finals, Nisar Ahmed claims five wickets for Sabir’s Poultry

Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 29th April, 2019) In the first semi-final match between Higher Education Commission and Sabir’s Poultry at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Monday. Higher Education Commission resumed their innings at overnight score of 42 for one and finished at 352 for eight in 83 overs. Hammad Butt hit 27 fours in his 214-ball 172. He added 185 runs for the second wicket with Mohammad Faiq, who scored 79 off 90 balls with 11 fours. For Sabir’s Poultry, Nisar Ahmad took five for 112. In reply, Sabir’s Poultry at stumps were 37 for no loss in five overs.

State Bank of Pakistan qualified for the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II final when they defeated Pakistan Navy by an innings and 172 runs on the second day at the Diamond Ground in Islamabad. State Bank of Pakistan added one run to their overnight score and lost a wicket before declaring at 437 for five in 69.2 overs. In reply, Pakistan Navy were bowled out for 213 in 49.5 overs. Abdul Saad top-scored with 52 that came off 41 balls and included two fours and five sixes. For State Bank of Pakistan, Taj Wali was the pick of the bowlers with figures of four for 42 in 8.5 overs in second innings
