Pakistan gives relaxation to 48 countries in new visa policy

The new visa policy has been into effect from April 15.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 27th April, 2019) The Interior Ministry has issued a new visa policy.

Media reports said that the interior ministry has issued a notification regarding relaxation in visa policy for 48 countries.

The new visa policy has been into effect from April 15.

Under the new visa policy, Pakistan has given a relaxation in visa policy to citizens of China, Turkey, Germany, Australia Malaysia, Russia, Iran and other countries.

India, America, Britain and Saudi Arabia top the list of the countries which have not been included in the agreement.

The countries included in the agreement will be given visa facility on airports.

The facility has been provided to 12 diplomats of 48 countries. Moreover, diplomats and government passport holders of 31 countries will benefit from the policy.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had in March announced new visa policy.

Under the new visa policy, citizens of Britain, China, Turkey, Malaysia and the UAE can get Pakistani visa via e-mail by paying only $8.

In the first stage, these five countries will be given visa free access to Pakistan.

The new visa policy is one of the major initiatives taken by the present government in past five months.

Under the new visa policy, citizens from 175 countries would have e-visa facility while citizens of 50 countries would enjoy visa on arrival facility.
