Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai Urs From Nov 15-17

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2016 ) : Tens of thousands of devotees of Sufi saint and poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai arrived at Bhitshah to pay homage to Sufi saint during 273rd annual urs celebrations from November 15-17.
The Sindh Government has adopted strict security arrangements to foil any act of terrorism during three days urs celebrations. Heavy contingents of Rangers and Police have been deployed in the town with bomb disposal squads and installation of CCTV cameras and walk through gates at the internal and external routes of the shrine.
The devotees were seen busy in shopping of traditional handicrafts, sweets, dry fruits and other things in makeshift bazaars and permanent shops. Almost all tea shops and restaurants witnessed packed with the devotees.
The historic "Karar" lake has been filled with fresh water while famous Tambura Chowk was being decorated with colourful bunties.
The district administration and town administration have also carried out cleanliness in and outside the shrine as well as the entire town of Bhitshah.
Medical camps have also been set up in different areas. Sindh Minister for Local Government Jam Khan Shoro was expected to inaugurate three days annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Shah abdul Latif Bhitai by laying floral wreath and offering fateha at the Mazar.
Sindh Government has already declared November 15 a local holiday. The Agro-Industrial exhibition, horse and cattle show, literary conference, musical concert and traditional Sindhi wrestling "Malakhra" competitions would be the part of Urs celebrations which would continue till November 17.
