The Art and Literary Society (QIRTAS) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organized All Pakistan Intervarsity Poetry Competition (AhyaiHarf-e -Jalib)
LAHORE (Pakistan Point News – 25th April, 2019) The Art and Literary Society (QIRTAS) of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organized All Pakistan Intervarsity Poetry Competition (AhyaiHarf-e -Jalib).
In which renowned poets from all over the Pakistan including MsHameedaShaheen, FareehaNaqvi, Wajid Meer, AmmarIqbal, TahiraJalib, TahzeebHafi, UmairNajmi, IkramArfi, Jawad Sheikh and Ali Safi were present while a large number of students from over thirty different universities of Pakistan participated in these contests.Punjab University Lahore won team trophy. In Bait Bazi contest, University of Agriculture Faisalabad won 1st position and Government Collage University of Faisalabad got 2nd position. In Urdu Nazam contest, Daniyal Sunbal from King Edward Medical College won 1stposition. In Urdu Ghazal contest,Syed Nadir from Government Collage University of Faisalabadwon 1stposition.In EnglishPoem contest, Saba Khalique from University of Punjab won 1st positions,MahaAdeel from University of Management and Technology got 2nd position. In English short story contest, RabiaAkhtar from Punjab University won 1st Position. UVAS Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof DrMasoodRabbani along with Senior Tutor Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf and other poets distributed team trophy, certificates and shields among the winner of all contest.
