MULTAN, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 14th Nov, 2016 ) : Speakers at a seminar, held in connection with the World Diabetes Day by Bahauddin Zakariya University, stressed the need for a balanced diet and daily exercise to prevent from the disease. They said that diabetes may increase in the country in the years to come owing to our lifestyle, which had reduced physical activity in our lives. They said that one out of 12 people was suffering from diabetes in Pakistan. PML-N Parliamentary Secretary Shaheen Shafiq said that in the past, diseases like diabetes were diagnosed in few people only. The parliamentary secretary said that lethargic lifestyle was causing various diseases now. Dr Bilal Afzal, and others also spoke on the occasion.
