North Korean Media Outlets Report About Kim's Arrival To Russia Day After Visit Beginning

VLADIVOSTOK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th April, 2019) North Korean media outlets reported about the arrival of the country's leader, Kim Jong Un, to Vladivostok for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, a day after the arrival.

Kim and his delegation arrived in a private train at the Vladivostok train station at around 6 p.m. local time (08:00 GMT) on Wednesday, greeted by a military orchestra, honor guard, dozens of residents of the city, tourists and journalists.

The North Korean state-run KCNA news agency and Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the country's Workers' Party, on Thursday, published the same statement that noted the warm welcoming atmosphere in the Russian Far Eastern city at the moment of Kim's arrival.

The outlets briefly described the welcoming ceremony in Vladivostok and reported about Kim crossing the border at the Khasan railway station, where he was presented bread and salt at the Russian tradition.

The message, conveyed by the outlets, noted that Kim had expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome in Russia.
