PBM Providing Free Medical Treatment, Medicines To Thalassemia

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2016 ) : Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has been providing free medical treatment and medicines to 28 per cent of total Thalassemia patients in Pakistan.
Besides, Pakistan Thalassemia Centre (PTC) has also been providing and accommodating poor Thalassemia patients across the country. Managing Director (MD), Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh highlighted government's commitment for taking every possible measure regarding treatment and prevention of Thalassemia Disease while representing Pakistan in an International Conference at Jordan.
The conference was organized by Thalassemia International Federal in collaboration with Jordanian Thalassemia & Hemophilia Society and Ministry of Health of Jordan, a message received here on Monday from Jordan said.
Barrister Abid demonstrated his commitment for exact calculation of Thalassemia patients in upcoming census and introduction of pre-marital blood screening bill in Parliament. Earlier, in his welcome note, President Thalassemia International Federation, Panos Englezos appreciated Managing Director PBM for introducing state-of-the-art medical and diagnostic facilities to the poor Thalassemia patients in Pakistan.
