Abu Dhabi Pharmacy Conference opens tomorrow

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2019) Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SEHA, will launch the fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi Pharmacy Conference, ADPhaC, tomorrow in Abu Dhabi.

The conference brings together leading pharmacists to share industry knowledge, best practice, and latest developments in the various fields of pharmacy and impact across the healthcare industry. The two-day conference, under the theme 'Innovation in Pharmacy', will be inaugurated by Dr. Gareth Goodier, Group CEO of SEHA.

Mohamed Hareb Al Qemzi, CEO of Support Services at SEHA, said, "ADPhaC is organised in association with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and a number of universities and colleges of pharmacy, with a large number of pharmacists and healthcare practitioners such as doctors and nurses to be present."

In turn, Dr. Fatima Al Breiki, Group Pharmaceutical Director of SEHA, said, "With 46 speakers from the UAE and eight international experts presenting their research and findings, the conference is expected to be attended by around 1,700 professionals, and is certified by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to be 14 academic hours."

The conference will comprise of six key discussions held in six sessions, workshops and seminars. The conference will focus on innovation, automation, pharmaceutical economics, development of pharmacological treatments, pharmaceutical management practices and administration, clinical pharmacy residence programmes, and opportunities and challenges in drug regulatory affairs in Abu Dhabi.

The fourth edition of ADPhaC will also be hosting an exhibition where pharmaceutical companies will showcase their products, services, and latest innovations.
