Complaint Filed For Probing Tragic Gadani Ship Yard' Incident

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2016 ) : President of the Center of Rule of Law Islamabad and Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) Muhammad Majid Bashir visited the National Commission for Human Rights (NHCR) office and submitted a complaint regarding the tragic Gadani ship yard incident wherein precious lives were lost.

According to a news release issued here Monday, the complainant has pleaded that the NCHR may constitute a commission of inquiry under section 9 (a) to (1) of NCHR Act 2012 to probe into the incident and bring justice to the perpetrators allegedly involved in the gross negligence that culminated into this of what could have been an avoidable mishap.

The chairman upon entertaining the complaint has taken the cognizance of this incident and ordered to call an immediate report from the concerned departments responsible for it.
