MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd April, 2019) Over 350 companies confirmed that they would participate in the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2019 that will be held in late August and early September, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said on Tuesday.
"According to the minister [of industry and trade], more than 350 companies confirmed they would participate in MAKS-2019, including almost all Russian leading enterprises of aerospace industry," the ministry said.
It also stressed that 20 foreign states filed their applications to take part in the event. An exhibition space has already been reserved for national expositions of Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. The national expositions of Belarus and Iran are being prepared, the ministry stated.
MAKS-2019 will be held from August 27 to September 1 in the town of Zhukovsky in the Moscow Region. China will become a co-organizer of the event for the first time.
The first edition of MAKS took place in 1993 attracting 260 organizations including 82 foreign companies from 17 countries. In 2017, more than 880 companies took part in the event, including about 180 foreign manufacturers from 36 states.
