AIOU To Hold International Seerah Conference

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2016 ) : Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold a two-day `International Seerah Conference next month at its main auditorium. Eminent Scholars from home and abroad have been invited to attend the event and present their research-based papers on subject relating to `Seerat-un-Nabi'.

It was being arranged by Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies on the theme of `social justice and welfare of society in light of Quran and Sunnah. Highlighting the importance of the conference, Vice-Chancellor, Prof.

Dr. Shahid Siddiqui said that it would provide opportunity to the scholars to share their academic input and vision for development of Islamic welfare society. This is the need of the hour, to join hands and make scholarly contribution for resurgence of Islamic values and traditions.

This was the duty of Muslim scholars to motivate and guide the young generation as how they should mould their lives according to the tenets of Islamic for ensuring a better future, he added.
