Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday objected to Ijaz Shah's appointment as the new interior minister, questioning how the position could be given to him, "when there are allegations that he was involved in Daniel Pearl's murder."

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 22nd April, 2019) : Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday objected to Ijaz Shah's appointment as the new interior minister, questioning how the position could be given to him, "when there are allegations that he was involved in Daniel Pearl's murder." "Are you trying to send a message to the world that we have terrorists and terrorists' abettors in our cabinet?" he asked.Moreover, he called Prime Minister Imran Khan incompetent and unskilled while speaking in a national assembly session on Monday.

"The selected prime minister should be the one who should be relieved from his position," the PPP leader said in reference to the sacking of former finance minister Asad Umar."If the government is serious about action against terrorists they have to sack the minister," he said. The anti-democracy minister considers us a threat. Bilawal made it clear that PPP was not scared of dictators like Ayub and Musharraf, and will remain steadfast against the puppet government.

On the other hand ruling Pakistan PTI, MNAs on Monday left their seats and chanted slogans after taking exception to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari's remarks regarding former finance minister Asad Umar and Prime Minister Imran Khan during a session of the National Assembly.The PPP leader, in a fiery speech on the floor of the assembly, criticized Asad Umar and referred to him as "an educated but illiterate" person. Bilawal reiterated his demand for the sacking of those ministers who have ties with proscribed organisations and terrorists.

He warned that if "I, as my party's parliamentary leader, am not allowed to speak, then your prime minister will also not be allowed to speak in this house. We will not even let him enter the building," he threatened.Bilawal also took aim at the new Federal cabinet, calling it a combination of Musharraf and PPP's teams, a reference to the many old faces on the treasury benches. The PPP chairman stated "if anyone had to go home, it should have been the prime minister, calling him incapable and unworthy".

Earlier, National Assembly was informed that due process is followed before placing a person on the Exit Control List. Responding to a question during Question Hour, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan said that the interior ministry always takes an action in view of country's security and defence instead of targeting anyone else.He said so far 461 people have been placed on ECL by the PTI Government. He said cabinet's approval is attained for placing a person on the ECL.

To a question, Ali Muhammad Khan said any foreign women, who marries to a Pakistani national and intends to acquire citizenship of Pakistan can apply for grant of Pakistani citizenship certificate.Responding to a calling attention regarding damage caused to the crops due to recent rains in the country, he said Provincial Disaster Management Authority Baluchistan has also moved a summary of 280.07 million rupees to help the rain affected people in the province.

Ali Muhammad Khan said crops spreading over 12,940 acers of land have been affected in Punjab and the provincial government is undertaking a survey in this regard to finalize a proper strategy to mitigate sufferings of the farmer community.The House approved extension in the Elections (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 for a period of one hundred and Tenety days with effect from first of the next month. It said that as victims of terrorism, we understand pain and sorrow of victims and their families.
