Seasonal Motels In GB Region Enroute CPEC To Remain Open Till Dec 1

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2016 ) : The seasonal motels located in Gilgit- Baltistan Region enroute China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will remain open till December, 1.
Managing Director PTDC, Chudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan said this on Monday. A specific Calendar of tourism event will be chalked out for Gilgit-Baltistan that will include four-seasons events. A special car-rally with colourful cars carrying friendship flags will be organized from Islamabad to China in near future.
He told that PTDC had planned to construct a Motel with modern facilities for the tourists at Naltar, Gilgit. On the request of PTDC, the Chief Minister, Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman had allotted a piece of land measuring 30 kanals at Naltar for construction of a Motel by PTDC with modern facilities near the PAF Skiing Slopes which was an ideal location, he added.
The MD said that CM GB agreed that in future, all official meetings and conferences would be held in PTDC Motels, for which PTDC would provide special discounted rates.
Being the start point of CPEC in Pakistan side, Gilgit Baltistan region is land of opportunity, and domestic peoples will be ultimately beneficiaries.
PTDC has appreciated the interest shown by the GB Government for the promotion in the area. While expressing his views, Abdul Ghafoor also stated that GB Government had a vibrant plan to install and operate a chairlift and provide other facilities at Naltar adding the provincial Government had aimed at ensuring entertainment and amusement facilities to the general public and visiting guests.
The Gilgit Baltistan presented safe, secure and peaceful atmosphere to the visiting foreign and local tourists, he added. The Managing Director, PTDC expressed the hope that such steps would definitely bring about prosperity in the area.
In order to facilitate the tourists, PTDC and Gilgit Baltistan Government will join hands mutually and have close cooperation with each other to ensure provision of modern facilities to the visiting tourists. APP/zk/rn
