Hong Kong stocks extend losses on Trump fears

HONG KONG, , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2016 ) - Hong Kong stocks tumbled again Monday, hit by worries over Donald Trump's presidency and expectations for a sharp rise in US interest rates.

The Hang Seng Index fell 1.37 percent, or 308.

87 points, to end at 22,222.22. But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.45 percent, or 14.33 points, to 3,210.37 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.30 percent, or 6.27 points, to 2,114.30 on turnover of 421.0 billion Yuan.
