Special Three Days Anti Campaign Begin In Shangla, Kohistan District

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2016 ) : A special three days anti-polio campaign was started in Shangla and Kohistan Districts on Monday where more than 150,883 children would be vaccinated with the help of 586 teams.
An Official in KP Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) told APP that special immunization campaign in Shangla and Kohistan districts began under strict security arrangements where more than 150,883 children below the age of 5-year would be administered anti-polio drops.
The District Administration and Police have made strict security arrangements for protection of the anti polio teams and workers.
The campaign would continue till Wednesday without any break and in case of non-arrival of teams the parents were requested to bring their children to nearest hospitals and basic health units.
The official said 586 teams had been formed, including 503 mobile, 59 fixed, 21 transit and three roaming teams to administer anti polio vaccination to kids. The drive would be supervised by 134 area in-charges. A comprehensive strategy has been chalked out by the provincial health department and partner organisations, including UNICEF and WHO for the campaign's success. APP/fam/ff
