YALTA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th April, 2019) The nationalist Serbian Radical Party, which occupies 22 seats in the 250-seat parliament, stands for the country's integration with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and joining the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the party's deputy chairman told Sputnik.

"We do not need EU membership. Russia is much closer to us, which implies membership of the EAEU, CSTO and serious cooperation with the BRICS countries ... We would like Serbia to join the CSTO," Aleksandar Seselj said on the sidelines of the Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF) in Crimea.

The EAEU is an economic bloc comprising Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. It aims to encourage regional economic integration through the free movement of goods, services, and people within the union.

The CSTO is a security alliance aimed at improving related cooperation between the member states, namely Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

The YIEF is an annual business event and one of the four biggest economic forums held in Russia. The forum is sponsored by the Government of the Republic of Crimea and the Yalta International Economic Forum Fund with the support of the Administration of the Russian president.
