PIA denies media reports

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2016 ) : PIA has denied media reports regarding laying off of 30 percent PIA employees as a result of closing down of airline's town offices. In a statement on Saturday, a spokesman of the national flag carrier said media reports regarding laying off of 30% PIA employees as a result of closing down of airline's town offices were totally baseless.

`PIA management is encouraging online sale of tickets that will reduce dependence on town offices, which will be gradually phased out. However, laying off of employees is not on the cards', the spokesman added.
