NDF Organized Awarness Programme On "World Pneumonia Day"

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2016 ) : The National Deveolpment Foundation (NDF) has organized an awarness programme on "World Pneumonia Day" in Shaheed Benazirabad disrtrict on Saturday.

According to details head of the NDF, Abid Lashari said that "World Pneumonia Day" was being marked every year on November 12, to raise awareness about this leading killer of the children around the world.

Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection that affects the lungs. The deadly virus and bacteria of pneumonia is in the environment and affects malnourished and children with low immunity first.

Social member, Nabeel Durrani said that Pneumonia was a curable disease and by adopting precautionary measures and getting knowledge, it could be prevented. Social workers, Shumaila Arrain, Aasma Arrain, Shams Jukhio, Mumtaz Mangi, Zahid Lashari and others also spoke on the occasion.
