Wasa To Make Master Plan For Water, Sanitation Issues In Multan

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2016 ) : The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) is preparing master plan to address the sanitation and water issues of the city. Assistant Director of Planning and Design, Wasa, Muhammad Nadeem told APP here on Saturday, the plan was proposed in 2015 and it would be launched in the current year.
He said, the planning was aimed at addressing all issues pertaining to water and sewer of the city from 2016-2040. He said they had completed GIS (Graphic Information System) with the joint study of NEPAK and ARTELIA.
He said, they had completed mapping of assets with the help of consultants of international repute. The GIS planning was mainly based on collection of data of filtration plants, disposal stations and tube wells from every nook and corners of the city, the official remarked.
He said implementation of the project was subject to provision of fund. However, he expressed the hope that it would be carried out with the help of Annual Development Program (ADP) which got approved by the Punjab government last year.
