Training For Outcome Based Education System Held At SUIT

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2016 ) : Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology, (SUIT) Peshawar organized one-day seminar on Outcome Based Education System for the faculty of the University.

Dr. Faqir Gul, from Auckland New Zealand was the Speaker. Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has made it mandatory for the engineering sector universities to implement OBE system which is the basic requirement for accreditation of its engineering programmes under the Washington Accord.

Dr. Faqir Gul informed the participants on the significance of OBE system, aimed to develop curriculum having measurable outcomes to be achieved in specific time with efficient resource utilization.

He said there are three main levels where the efficiency of an engineering program is to be measured under the OBE system. On the occasion Vice Chancellor Sarhad University Professor Dr. Salim Ur Rehman urged the faculty to ensure that university's quality assurance procedures are compatible with international standards, and are designed to improve the quality of higher education.
