Commissioner calls for repair of medical dispensaries on priority

MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : The divisional commissioner Mirpurkhas, Shafique Ahmed Mahesar, has directed concerned officials to carry out maintenance and repair work at government dispensaries on need basis.

Presiding over the meeting of divisional oversight committee here on Friday, the commissioner said medical dispensaries were major source of health care in remote areas of Tharparkar. He directed concerned engineers to survey the buildings of dispensaries and include all those buildings in M&R schemes which needed repair or maintenance on priority basis.

He further directed that a detailed report in this regard be submitted at commissioner office in three days. The commissioner instructed Additional Deputy Commissioner-I Tharparkar to visit dispensaries located in the district to take an account of medical facilities being provided there and to inspect the physical condition of the buildings.

Chairing another meeting regarding community development programme, the commissioner who is also the chairman of the programme, directed deputy commissioners of corresponding districts to hold meetings regarding community development projects within their respective districts.

He further instructed to analyze the public requirements and propose community development schemes for welfare of the masses and submit detailed report in the regard to commissioner office within a week.

Earlier, the commissioner handed over cheques of financial assistance amounting to Rs. 0.9 million to heirs of employees of revenue department who died while performing their duties. The commissioner handed over cheques of Rs.

2,00,000 each to Mst. Haseena widow of Kotar Mir Hassan Badal, Mst. Zeba widow of Kotar Muhammad Ibrahim and Murk daughter of Kotar Pir Bux while cheque of Rs. 3,00,000 was handed over to Mst. Shirkan widow of Tapaidar Kirshan Laal.
