CPEC To Be Key Driver In Pakistan's Economy: Ambassador

RAWALPINDI,Nov11(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) ;Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy excellent trade relations, and the Government and the people have great affection, for the people of Pakistan.
Tajikistan�s Ambassador to Pakistan Sherali S. Jononov said while visiting Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry(RCCI) here Friday. Speaking as chief guest the Ambassador said electricity would be provided to Pakistan under Central Asia South Asia (CASA 1000) energy project and tariff rates would be rationalized for better cooperation and bilateral trade activities.
Pakistan is now emerging economy and under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) its importance has been increased.
Central Asian countries including Tajikistan have a shortest access to sea via Gawadar Port.
Pakistan trade and business community should come forward and take benefit of the emerging opportunities, he urged. The envoy appreciated the role of RCCI in promoting trade exhibitions under the indigenous brand, Made in Pakistan Expo.
We will try to replicate the same in Pakistan, the envoy informed. Earlier President RCCI Raja Amer Iqbal, in his welcome address said that Pakistan economy is taking a leap and expressed hope that CASA1000 MW energy project will help Pakistan to meet its energy requirement.
