Members Of Outgoing, Newly Elected Body Of SCBA Calls On CJP

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : Members of outgoing and newly elected body of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Friday called on Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali.

"It is indeed a matter of great pleasure to welcome all of you as newly elected and outgoing Cabinet', said Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamli while talking to the body of outgoing members of Supreme Court Bar Association headed by Syed Ali Zafar and newly elected body of SCBA headed by its President Rasheed A.

Rizvi. The Chief Justice said that Bench and Bar are integral part of judicial system therefore, it is incumbent upon both of them to address legal needs and expectations of litigant parties by providing speedy justice to them.

Bidding farewell to outgoing SCBA President Ali Zafar and his cabinet members, the Chief Justice praised the services rendered by them and said that the Supreme Court Bar Association under Mr. Ali Zafar performed very well.

All the members of his cabinet played their role devotedly and wholeheartedly for the cause of dispensation of justice. Felicitating the newly elected SCBA President Rasheed A. Rizvi and his cabinet, the Chief Justice welcomed the Bar and said that he had cordial relationship with the Bar and he will be extending full cooperation to the Bar for strengthening the institution of judiciary.

The outgoing President Ali Zafar also appreciated his lordships contribution for the cause of administration of justice. The President newly elected Cabinet of Supreme Court Bar Association Rasheed A.

Rizvi said that he and his Cabinet will extend full cooperation to strengthen the institution by supporting rule of law and independence of judiciary. At the end of meeting the Chief Justice presented shield to the outgoing cabinet members as token of respect and gesture of goodwill. They also reciprocated the gesture by presenting a memento on the occasion.
